Charcoal Portrait
A self portrait by using charcoal! The difficult part of charcoal portrait were the small details on the wrinkles and lips, along with the reflection of the glasses and the blending in skin. However, in charcoal I learned to observe in specific spots of lighting and shade I wasn't able to observe before, like the highlights of the glasses or the small portion shade next to the nose. This charcoal project helped me improve identifying shapes and portions of shades and lights.

Color Pencil Portrait
Color Pencil Portrait....of my dog. Color pencil portrait made me realize I had underestimated the use and practices of coloring in general. It was hard to color the floor since it had so much free space, along with the white parts of the fur. But the toy frisbee colors on his head were intresting and fun to color. While coloring, I learned that one color had many colors to be rendered properly to make a picture realistic.

Financial Literacy
Financial Literacy! This project was difficult to come up with since we had the freedom of decide how to convey the messages of financial literacy, and using perspective is can get messy with lining sometimes. However I'm satisfied of how the inking style turned out, along with its shading and message. While making this project, I learned that Financial Literacy isn't common knowledge in our society, and spreading that message through illustrations are meaningful.
