Two Worlds, One Ground
I took inspiration from the contrasting manner between school and home. The deeper meaning behind this work is based on how I perceive and feel between school and home. School representing the uncomfortable cold side that tenses me up, constantly being on my guard. Meanwhile the Home side represents the carefree safe warm place that allows me to calm down, to put down my guard. I tinted the left with dark shade of blue and adding slight orange/yellow highlights on the face, hair, and clothes. Then added black boarders on the top and bottom, like a cinematic movie that shows a dramatic or sad scene. On the brighter side, I used warm tints like orange to convey a carefree, energetic atmosphere.
